Disclaimer

The Common Cookie specializes in gluten-free baked goods. Under FDA regulations, a product can be labeled "gluten-free" if it contains less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten, even if it is not produced in a certified gluten-free facility. While we take great care to prevent cross-contact and primarily work with gluten-free products, some ingredients we use are processed in facilities that also handle gluten. Additionally, some of our ingredients come from suppliers that are not certified gluten-free, even though their ingredient lists do not state the presence of gluten or wheat. If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance, please consider this when making your purchase. If you are unsure about a product's gluten content, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to inquire about their production practices and gluten levels.

Are all your products gluten free? 

Yes, but again some of our ingredients are not made in a gluten free facility. i.e.

Are your cookies certified gluten-free? 

No, we are not certified by the National Celiac Association.

Is your commercial kitchen gluten- free? 

No, we rent a commissary kitchen. However, we are the ONLY baker in the kitchen and all of our equipment that belongs to us (mixer, dough sheeter etc.) is not shared with anyone else therefore we consider ourselves gluten free. 

Do you carry any dairy free or vegan items?

Location Questions

Where is your store front?

We do not have a brick and mortar at this point in time. However, our products are at several retail locations and we offer shipping statewide and local pickup and delivery.

Where are you located?

Our commercial kitchen is located in Buckley, Washington.

Do you do events?

Yes, please check our local events and markets section for more information. 

Wholesale Questions

How long does processing and shipping take?

Orders require a minimum of 24 hours to process. Shipping occurs 3 business days after your order has been confirmed. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number. We currently ship within Washington state only.

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes! Local delivery is available for an additional fee. Select the delivery option at checkout, and your zip code will determine pricing and availability. Deliveries are scheduled based on availability and may require advance notice.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?

Absolutely. We offer pickup at two locations:

Buckley Kitchen Pickup: Available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM at 102 North River Rd. #C, Buckley, WA 98321.

Puyallup Pickup: Available by request. Please email us at thecommoncookie@gmail.com to coordinate a time.

What type of cookies work best for wholesaling?

We suggest going with our “Founders Favorites” flavors to start. Most shops regularly order the classics and then slowly add 1 or 2 more flavors over time or a seasonal flavor.

 What is your wholesaling pricing?

We give our wholesalers who are looking for baked items about a 25-30% discount. Frozen dough is around 30%. Of course, depending on retail value and food cost. Each cookie price varies, and we can provide you a retailer discount code once we have received a W-9. Prices can change due to labor and food costs and gets updated on a monthly basis.

What prices work best for selling cookies?

The cookies sell for retail around $5.50 to $7.00 each as they are around 125g in size which is a quarter or a pound (4oz+). Also, since these are gluten free items & vegan as well, we tend to use more whole foods in our recipes meaning food costs are higher than your average. However, if that size is too big for your customers we are happy to work with you on custom sizes & flavors.

What about cookie shelf life?

It depends on which option you choose. We sell frozen dough for you to bake in house or baked cookies in pastry boxes or individual packaging. Frozen dough can last up to 3 months frozen and 1 week refrigerated. Packaged cookies can last about 14 days.For baked cookies unpackaged, they have about a 2-day shelf life.

Can I get the cookies individually packaged/wrapped?

Yes, however there will be an additional fee for packaged items.

Is there a cost of delivery?

Yes, this is determined upon checkout. If you live outside of Buckley, I charge fees up to 15 miles. Any further, we would discuss travel fees.

What are your bestselling cookies?

GF Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chip with Sea Salt, GF Life is a Party (Oreo Sprinkles), GF Vegan Cacao Nib with Toffee, GF Salted Honey Cornbread and GF cinnamon rolls. Take note: we do have seasonal flavors that are top selling depending on season.

How do we display or sell the cookies?

If you have a display case, that makes displaying easy as customers can point and tell you which product they would like to purchase. If not, we suggest you use packaging so the cookies can be placed anywhere. Our recommendation is to lay the cookies flat or upright.
